Frequently asked questions
What happens when I reach my project capacity?
What happens when I reach my project capacity?
When you hit your plan’s project limit, you have two options: delete an existing project to free up a slot, or upgrade to a higher plan with more monthly project capacity. Deleting a project removes it permanently, so make sure you’ve exported any reports you need first. Upgrading is instant, you gain access to the additional capacity immediately. Either way, you won’t lose any work or team access on your remaining projects.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes. You can change your plan at any time from your Billing Settings. Upgrades take effect immediately, giving you instant access to the additional projects and features included in your new plan. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle, so you keep your existing plan’s features until the period you’ve paid for runs out.
How is Labrador different from automated accessibility tools?
How is Labrador different from automated accessibility tools?
Automated scanning tools are useful for a quick first pass, but they can only detect around 30% of real-world accessibility issues. The rest, things like confusing reading order, inadequate keyboard focus management, misleading link text, and cognitive barriers, require a human tester to identify. Labrador’s guided manual testing workflow helps you find and document that other 70% systematically, criterion by criterion, with built-in tips and evidence capture along the way. Labrador works best alongside automated tools, not instead of them.
Do all plans include WCAG 2.1 and 2.2?
Do all plans include WCAG 2.1 and 2.2?
Yes. Every plan, including the Free plan, includes full support for both WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 at all conformance levels: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. You choose your target standard and conformance level when you set up each project. All plans also support VPAT® 2.5 (WCAG version) reporting for projects created with the VPAT methodology.
What team roles are available?
What team roles are available?
Team collaboration is available on the Plus plan and above. When you invite a team member to a project, you can assign one of three roles:
- View-only, can browse the audit and read findings, but cannot make any changes. Ideal for clients or stakeholders who need visibility without edit access.
- Developer, can update remediation status on issues and add comments, but cannot change test statuses or log new issues. Useful for developers tracking their fix progress.
- Editor, full access to test criteria, log issues, upload media, and manage all audit content.
What report types are available?
What report types are available?
Labrador supports four export formats, available across all plans:
- Interactive HTML, a polished, self-contained web report with an executive summary, full findings list, embedded screenshots and videos, clickable WCAG criterion links, and a “Show Failures Only” toggle so developers can focus on what needs fixing.
- VPAT® / DOCX, a fully editable Word document following the VPAT 2.5 template. Available only for projects created with the VPAT methodology.
- CSV, a detailed flat-file export of all logged issues, suitable for Excel, Google Sheets, or custom data workflows.
- Jira-ready CSV, a CSV formatted for direct import into Jira as issues. Available on all plans, including Free.
